Ms. Alka Kapoor is the visionary Founder of the Trust, bringing over two decades of dynamic experience across the domains of Culture, Tourism, Marketing and financial services. She has an academic background in Business Administration and Commerce. A multifaceted professional, she has held key leadership roles in both the government and private sectors, driving initiatives that reflects a rare combination of policy insight, project execution skills and creative vision attributes that form the cornerstone of the Trust’s ethos.
Recognized as the Best Marketing Professional by SAFARI India in 2022, she has been instrumental in shaping impactful tourism and cultural initiatives, community-based projects, and strategies for inclusive growth. Her tenure in the tourism sector was marked by significant contributions to training programs and community development efforts, aimed at empowering local stakeholders and enhancing service delivery. As the National Project Coordinator with the United Nations World Tourism Organization, she led the formulation and implementation of strategic tourism initiatives across Punjab, reinforcing her commitment to sustainable and community-centric development.
Earlier in her career, she held managerial roles in leading financial institutions such as IDBI Bank, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank, where she honed her capabilities in customer relationship management, project coordination, and team leadership. Under her leadership, the Trust is committed to fostering cultural preservation, empowering communities, and promoting inclusive development with integrity and impact.
A passionate solo traveler, art enthusiast, and heritage advocate, she brings creativity, compassion, and commitment to social change.
