The Open Hand Foundation is committed to upholding the highest standards of transparency and donor satisfaction. Donations made to the foundation are typically non refundable. However, under exceptional circumstances such as:
A technical error leading to an excess deduction, Duplicate transactions, Incorrect amount entered, Unauthorized use of payment instruments, donors may request a refund by writing to us at our official email ID within 7 working days of the transaction date.
All refund requests will be subject to verification and approval by the Foundation’s Finance Committee. The refunded amount, if approved, will be returned through the original mode of payment within 15 working days.
Note: Tax exemption certificates issued (under Section 80G, if applicable) shall stand cancelled if a refund is processed.
2. Donations
- All donations made to Open Hand Foundation are non-refundable.
- Once a donation has been processed and a receipt has been issued, it cannot be canceled or refunded under normal circumstances.
- Refunds will be considered only in cases of technical errors such as:
- Duplicate transactions
- Excessive billing amounts
- Incorrect donor information

- Full name
- Transaction ID
- Donation amount
- Date of donation
- Reason for refund request
Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
